12 vocational institutes to have buildings next year

KABUL: Buildings for a dozen vocational institutes are being constructed at a cost of $6 million in different provinces next year, a senior education official said Sunday.

Mohammad Asif Nang, deputy technical and vocational education minister told a graduation ceremony at the government-run Afghan Technology Institute in Kabul the proposed buildings were being constructed for institutes providing education in areas of agriculture, computer sciences and information technology.

About 180 students attended the graduation ceremony. Nang said the new structures would be built in Kabul, Mazar-i-Sharif, Kunduz, and Paktika.
