106 arrested during operation in capital

ISLAMABAD: The Sihala, Shahzad Town and Golra police on Sunday arrested 106 suspects during a search operation in various localities, including slums, a police spokesman said. According to the spokesman, IG Bani Amin Khan and SSP Yaseen Farooq had directed for keeping a vigilant eye on suspected elements. As per their directions, teams under supervision of Sihala, Shahzad Town and Golra SGOs conducted the search operation. The teams conducted special checking of various houses, under-construction buildings, inns and slums. Investigations are underway from the nabbed suspects as they could not produce any authentic document for their identification. SSP Farooq has appreciated the police performance and directed all officers to intensify patrolling and keep vigilant eye on suspected elements. End.
