10 injured in Peshawar blast

PESHAWAR: At least ten people were injured in a low-intensity bomb blast targeting a police mobile van in the limits of Hashtnagri Police Station, on Thursday. According to police, the incident occurred near Firdus area. The police vehicle was on routine patrol on the GT Road near Jinnah Park. Ten civilians were injured and were taken to the Lady Reading Hospital. The police vehicle narrowly escaped the explosion, while six other vehicles were partially damaged. Officials said that the explosion was caused by a planted bomb and its target was the police van. Police cordoned off the area and opened an investigation. The identity of the victims could not be immediately ascertained. End.
