Day in Picture

All the day's pictures are displayed through a show. The picture show has a box, which has three sections. The banner ad of 468x60 pixels (6.5 x .83 inches) can be placed underneath every picture. The number of pictures -- a mix of all categories of news and events -- a day varies between 10 to 14. Each picture is displayed in a separate window of an approximately 500 x 700 pixels.

Pictorial

It is a library of pictures categorized by key words. Each news item is assigned and picture is also assigned a key word before it is published on the Internet. Every follow-up or relevant news, which falls under the same key word, would automatically display the picture in the pictorial section. Hence each news and picture is being archived in a library of key words.

PakTribune's pictorial library has over 500 images with an addition of 10 to 14 images every day. The pictures of the pictorial section, like Day in Picture, are displayed through a slide show. Each picture is displayed in a separate window of an approximately 500 x 700 pixels (6.94 x 9.72 inches). The banner ad -- 468 x 60 pixels (6.5 x .83 inches) -- can be placed underneath every picture. Unlike Day in Picture, this section may have as many pictures as the library may contain under a particular key word. It is linked with the news stories published on PakTribune.

Incursion Box - Home Page

A 200 x 500 pixels (2.77 x 6.94 inches) box with a thin border placed on the home page in the second column from the left underneath special sections. Being on the home page, this section attracts visitors. Advertisers can display images, animations, and text paragraph messages in the whole box.

Opinion Poll Section

PakTribune conducts at least 10 opinion polls on current affair issues, showbiz and other interesting news items every month. Each opinion poll is supported by a keyword. Opinion poll once created, remains in the database as an active tool and appears on subsequent relevant stories, which falls under that keyword. This enables PakTribune to dynamically conduct numerous surveys every day on different stories.

Our polls have a transparency mechanism, which allows the user to cast vote only once in 24 hours, which is not the case in other Pakistani portals. Additionally, as part of our policy we do not manipulate the numbers. The most recent opinion poll on a particular key word is displayed under the relevant news; however, the history of relevant polls will also be available for participation and review under the 'Show Result' page.

It provides advertisers opportunity to sponsor the opinion poll feature. Each Opinion Poll box has question followed by radio button options with 'vote' and 'Show Result' hyperlinks. This Polling box can be sponsored with a small company name & logo with a minimum size of 125x30 pixels (1.73 x 0.41 inches) with a caption -- ' This Opinion Poll brought to you by...' This section also allows the advertiser to place their standard 468 x 60 pixels (6.5 x .83 inches) banner under the 'Show Results' page.

Each sub-section (Most visited, printed and emailed) of the Most Popular section offers advertisers chance to advertise through a standard 468 x 60 pixels (6.5 x .83 inches) banner on any of the sections.

Email to a friend

It enables users to forward any particular story to unlimited individuals through email. This feature is also opened in separate window 700 x 800 pixels (9.72 x 11.11 inches) with an opportunity for advertisers to place standard 468 x 60 (6.5 x .83 inches) banner. In addition, each email generated through this feature shall also carry a courtesy line at the bottom with sponsor's message -- "This email is brought to you by..." Advertisers can look forward to hundreds of thousands of emails every year.

Print this story

This feature makes the content of the story to a printer friendly text format, which excludes the entire graphics and template layout for printing purposes. This Print Out can be sponsored with a small company name & logo with a minimum size of 125x30 pixels (1.73 x 0.41 inches) with a caption -- "This Printout is brought to you by..." Advertisers can expect hundreds of thousands of print out stories in one year.
