The Gilgit-Baltistan Governemnt presented its annual budget for 2012-13 with a total outlay Rs 19039 million as the Finance Minister Muhammad Ali Akhtar read the budget speech.

The budget session was started Monday evening with its speaker Wazir Baig in the Chair. Giving break down of the budget the minister said Rs.11000 million were earmarked for the non development side while Rs 8039 were allocated for the development side.

The Minister said there has been record increase in the budget 2012-13 compared to previous year 34 per cent raise has taken place for the development of the region,The Minister said the government has earmarked Rs.716.081 million for the establishment charges of the offices and Rs.2.072  for the retired employees.
