Petroleum price change: Summary approved

The Petroleum Ministry has approved the summary for the change in petroleum prices after which petrol would be Rs 1.75 a litre dearer while diesel would be just Rs 0.20 a litre cheaper.

The Petroleum Ministry has approved the summary for the change in petroleum prices after which petrol would be Rs 1.75 a litre dearer while diesel would be just Rs 0.20 a litre cheaper.

As per the summary an increase of Rs 1.73 a litre is approved for petroleum after which its new price would go up to Rs 103.15 a litre.

After the Rs 0.60 reduction the new price of diesel would come down to Rs 109.93 per litre.

Petroleum Ministry has given approval to increase the price of high octane fuel by Rs 2-2.50 a litre while the new prices of the kerosene oil and light diesel are not yet fixed.

The new prices would be effective from midnight tonight.
