OGRA decides POL prices, Dr Asim

Federal Adviser to Prime Minister on Petroleum Dr Asim Hussain has said that ORGA not government decides the prices of petroleum products.
Addressing to the members of Karachi Chamer of Commerce and Industries (KCCI) on Saturday, he said that 500 mmcfd gas has been included in OGDCL for the upcoming winter season which would help to control gas shortage. He added that 20 mmcfd gas being provided to Nooriabad industrial zone.
The minister further said that Sawan Industrial zone would be provided gas according to Petroleum Policy 2012's rates.
Dr Asim also said that the government has agreed to reduce price of SIS to 50 rupees from 100 rupees. He added that summary in regard with the issue has been forwarded to the Parliament.
He said that there was need to provide gas to agriculture sector to strengthen the department.
The federal adviser said that government could not provide subsidy to all departments. He added that law and order and political situation have worried to all.
Dr Asi said that people being faced the results of the mistakes of pasts.
