Korea keen to produce 300MW electricity from solar energy

ISLAMABAD: Korean have expressed their keen interest to invest in the solar power projects to produce 300 mw electricity in Pakistan in order to explore the solar potential and provide cheap electricity.

ISLAMABAD: Korean have expressed their keen interest to invest in the solar power projects to produce 300 mw electricity in Pakistan in order to explore the solar potential and provide cheap electricity.

Dr CHOI Moon-Sok, Chief Executive Officer of Concentrix Solar of Korea while talking to Federal Minister for Water and Power, Syed Naveed Qamar on Wednesday said the company has planned to set up first project of 50 mw within eight to 10 months while the total duration for 300 mw would be three years.

The projects will be both off-grid and on-grid and mostly will be established in Sindh province. He informed the first initiative would be conversion of Prime Minister's House into Solar power and it would be gift from Korea to Pakistan.
