ISE gains 9 points

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad stock market witnessed a firm trading session on Wednesday as the ISE 10-share index was up by 8.75 points to close at 2,941.20 points from its previous level of 2,932.45 points. Of the total 117 participant companies, 84 climbed upward and 33 turned negative.

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad stock market witnessed a firm trading session on Wednesday as the ISE 10-share index was up by 8.75 points to close at 2,941.20 points from its previous level of 2,932.45 points. Of the total 117 participant companies, 84 climbed upward and 33 turned negative.

Total turnover increased to 0.078 million shares from 0.004 million shares at the opening of the day, showing a difference of 0.074 million shares. Unilever Pakistan was the top gainer as its share value shot up by Rs 148 to close at Rs 8,548 after opening at Rs 8,400.

Mitchell's Fruit Farm was the second major gainer as its share value increased by Rs 10 to close at Rs 360 against its opening at Rs 350.

Millat Tractors was the major loser of the day as its share price declined by Rs 10.84 close at Rs 540.79 as compared to its previous level of Rs 551.63.

Linde Pakistan was the second highest on the negative column as its share price dropped Rs 3.50 to close at Rs 133 as compared with its opening at Rs 136.50. In terms of volume Byco Petroleum remained on top with 0.010 million shares.

Lotte Pakistan PTA and Bank of Punjab remained second and third with 0.010 million shares and 0.005 million shares, respectively.
