ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad stock market closed higher on Monday as the ISE 10-share index was up by 8.26 points to
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad stock market closed higher on Monday as the ISE 10-share index was up by 8.26 points toclose at 2,929.36 points from its previous level of 2,921.10 points Of the total 119 participant companies, 46 climbed upward and 73 turned negative.
Total turnover increased to 0.031 million shares from 0.026 million shares at the opening of the day, showing adifference of 0.005 million shares.Linde Pakistan was the top gainer as its share value gained Rs 6.50 to close at Rs 136.50 after opening at Rs 130.
Abbot Laboratories was the second major gainer as its share value increased by Rs 6 to close at Rs 187.75 as againstits opening at Rs 181.75.
Unilever Pakistan was the major loser of the day as its share price declined by Rs 44.80 to close at Rs 8,400 ascompared to its previous level of Rs 8,444.80.
Siemens Engineering was the second highest on the negative column as its share price fell Rs 15 to close at Rs 796as compared with its opening at Rs 811.
In terms of volume Byco Petroleum remained on top with 0.010 million shares. Lotte Pakistan PTA and Bank of Punjabremained second and third with 0.010 million shares and 0.005 million shares, respectively.
