Hike in flour price in Punjab, country

The price of 20 kilogram sack of wheat flour is being increased by Rs 30 across Punjab province including provincial capital Lahore.

The price of 20 kilogram sack of wheat flour is being increased by Rs 30 across Punjab province including provincial capital Lahore.

After this price a sack of 20 kilogram wheat flour would be selling for Rs 670.

Authorities of Flour Mills Association say that Punjab Food Department increased the price of 40 maund sack of wheat sales to flour mills by Rs 50 after which increasing the price was a must.

After the fresh increase in wheat prices, flour prices have also been surged in local markets by Rs 5 to Rs 7 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, flour prices across the country have registered a sudden increasing trend nationwide.

The commodity is being sold at Rs 38/kg in Peshawar, Rs 40/kg in Quetta and Rs 37/kg in Lahore with an increase of Rs 7/kg.

On the other hand, flour is not available at most of the utility stores across the country.
