In the first half of the current fiscal year 120 billion rupees revenue was collected in Petroleum Levy and gas development surcharge, a finance ministry report says.
According to the report, from July to December during the current fiscal year, the government collected 57.061 billions in Petroleum Levy and 24.92 rupees for gas infrastructure cess; while 7.57 billion rupees as Gas Infrastructure Development Surcharge and over 32 billion rupees over taxes on petroleum products received.
