KARACHI: Gold price improved by Rs 215 to close at Rs 48,557 per 10 grams in the local market Wednesday as its international price surged to $1,591 an ounce, market sources said.

According to Karachi Sarafa Association official, tola (11.664 grams) price also increased by Rs 250 to Rs 56,650. Silver closed lower at Rs 797.14 per 10 grams.
