Foreign buying up by $1.91m in stock markets

ISLAMABAD: The foreign buying in the local stock markets has witnessed a surge by $1.91 million on Thursday. The improving political situation in the country has created positive atmosphere in the local bourse and the trading floors were seen flooded with investors.
ISLAMABAD: The foreign buying in the local stock markets has witnessed a surge by $1.91 million on Thursday. The improving political situation in the country has created positive atmosphere in the local bourse and the trading floors were seen flooded with investors. According to the data of National Clearing Company of Pakistan (NCCPL), of a total buying by Foreign Investors Portfolio Investments (FIPI), foreign corporate sector has taken the positions in the market worth US$1.82 million while individual has taken the positions worth $16,743. Besides, the positions taken by Overseas Pakistanis in the local bourse stood at $73,362. Meanwhile, Local Investors Portfolio Investments (LIPI) has registered a decline by $1.91 million on Thursday due to squaring up the positions for booking the profits by the investors which they held positions a day earlier.
