LAHORE: Qaumi Tajar Ittehad Chairman Kh Azhar Gulshan has said that recent hallmark order of the Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding the prices of CNG is a welcome step. Business community is optimistic for such pro-people action on high electricity tariff and rates of petrol and diesel. He said that supply of energy on sustainable basis at affordable rate is the basis to keep the wheels of economy moving.

He said the recent cut in CNG shows that government has slapped unnecessary taxes and surcharges on energy sector which should be removed as soon as possible. He said the loadshedding of electricity which is the main hurdle in revival of Pakistani economy is artificial to benefit vested interests.

End.
