Banana prices to further drop

ISLAMABAD: The prices of banana have dropped to Rs 50 per dozen, a month ago it was selling for more than Rs 200 per dozen.

ISLAMABAD: The prices of banana have dropped to Rs 50 per dozen, a month ago it was selling for more than Rs 200 per dozen.A dealer of Fruit and Vegetable market said that banana would further decrease due to its season as the supply of the commodity will further improve.He said that the prices that reached a high during the shortage of the commodity but expected to fall further in coming weeks. A local fruit whole sellers claimed that earlier the price hike and short supply of banana due to the damage caused to the crop by floods in various areas of Sindh last year.
