LOS ANGELES: The creators of Netflix’s blockbuster series “Stranger Things” have finally lifted the curtain on the much-speculated episode runtimes for the first four chapters of its fifth and final season, sending fans into a frenzy of anticipation.
The show’s co-creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, unveiled the details through an Instagram video, quashing weeks of speculation that every episode would run like a feature-length film. The first four episodes, though varied in length, promise a cinematic experience — maintaining the tension and scale that have defined the series since its debut.
According to the official announcement, Episode 1 titled “The Crawl” runs for 1 hour and 8 minutes, followed by “The Vanishing of…” at 54 minutes, “The Turnbow Trap” at 1 hour and 6 minutes, and “Sorcerer” stretching to a thrilling 1 hour and 23 minutes. The Duffers clarified that while not every episode would be movie-long, each installment has been designed to “serve the story’s emotional and narrative weight.”
Season 5 will be rolled out in three volumes — the first part landing on November 26, the second set of episodes dropping on Christmas Day, and the grand series finale arriving on New Year’s Eve.
Fans have been eagerly waiting for updates as this season marks the end of one of Netflix’s most successful and culturally iconic shows. The Duffers hinted that the final episodes will tie up long-running mysteries, delivering both closure and heart-pounding suspense.
While some viewers initially hoped for extended, film-length episodes, many now applaud the creators for balancing pacing with intensity — ensuring the show’s final run captures both nostalgia and the thrill of the unknown.
As Hawkins prepares for its last stand, the countdown to the ultimate showdown begins.
