Nine-Eleven, Manna from Heaven
11 September, 2006
By Anwaar Hussain
This 9/11, as the swirling ashes of the twin towers continue to fall far and wide, it will be full five years since the start of American Inquisition. 9/11, that heinous crime that should have been registered that same evening in the nearest NYPD precinct for a relentless hunt for the criminals by that precinct’s homicide detectives to begin, has rather turned out to be Manna from Heaven for the flag bearers of American Inquisition.
Over a period of time, the word ‘inquisition’ has been taken as restricted to Spain in the Middle Ages only. But if one wants to explain the dangerous mix of religious prejudice, Christian holy war, Islamic jihad, ethnic profiling, racism, mock trials and eavesdropping by secret police, no other term comes to mind. Not only that, like Spanish Inquisition’s export abroad, the American one too now abounds in far flung corners of the earth. Torturing of the victims in secret dungeons remains the same as well. Missing are the burnings at the stakes, but given the hideous wonders that white phosphorous can do to human flesh in far lesser time, who requires that inefficient procedure any more.
Though common knowledge, one cannot tire of quoting the following prophetic words of the President of the United States Dwight D. Eisenhower that he spoke in his farewell address to his Nation on January 17, 1961; “In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.
We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.”
One notes with great irony that, riding on the back of the 9/11 crime, a powerful cabal of Americans has dealt a death blow to these momentous words of their deceased president, almost word by word. Not only has the ‘misplaced power’ indeed arisen ‘disastrously’, it is continuing to use the awesome American military might with ‘violent method’ toward sinister ‘goals’ while taking away the Americans ‘liberty’ and, in the process, making them ever more ‘insecure’.
This cabal is not a group of ragtag carpetbaggers. They are the inheritors of a tradition from their ilk of bygone years. In the hunt for new lands for their Imperial masters, their ideological forefathers practiced their art and craft for centuries. Waiting just beyond the circle of light, they appear at the scent of new opportunities like hyenas do at the stench of rotting carcasses at the dead of the night.
As far back as 1492, Christopher Columbus the points man for the Spanish Inquisition export into foreign lands, that most barbarous periods in all of human history, was funded by private investors because the royal monarchs were broke from their Granada campaign against the Muslims of Spain. The investors promised, but never fulfilled, 10 percent of all the revenues from the new lands in perpetuity to Columbus.
Likewise, the Jewel of the British Empire, India, was conquered for the queen by the British East India Company. Based in London, this company was nothing more than a commercial trading venture having a trade monopoly over all East Indies for 21 years. Instead of trading for Her Imperial Majesty, it presided over the creation of a far more profitable entity--the British Raj. Starting from the decisive victory by Sir Robert Clive at the Battle of Plassey in 1757 that established the British East India Company as a military as well as a commercial power, until its dissolution in 1858, the company virtually ruled India.
Five years back to date, airline jets appeared in the cobalt blue New York Skies as if sent by the gods above. Within minutes they had bumped through tall wonders of human achievements reducing them and their occupants to a tangled mass of steel, concrete and human flesh. While the world stood aghast and numb from the pain of the victims and the sheer scale of the crime, somewhere in some dark unlit corners of America, a small cabal of malicious, hateful and warmongering few soaked themselves in this Manna from Heaven.
Not very much later these humanoids had firmly catapulted America on a ceaseless warpath not of self defense, but of fear, insecurity, suspicion, hatred, anger, reprisal and a blind, jingoistic patriotism that continues to take its toll on humanity. No one has put it better than Manuel Valenzuela who, in his profound essay ‘Gods of War, Gods of Greed and Profiteers of Misery’, says;
“It was on that day that the misery of millions became the fortune of a few thousand. It was on that day that the MIC and the Corporate Leviathan wrestled ultimate control from the people of the world, usurping global power and forever altering the future of humanity. Our 9/11 became their Pearl Harbor, a moment in time needed to unleash already predetermined plans to expand power and control on a now easily manipulated and mobilized citizenry. The greatest profiteers in the history of the United States were now free to release their hounds of war, conquest, greed and violence upon the rest of civilization.”
So this 5th anniversary of that dreadful crime, as President George W. Bush sits in his predecessor’s chair gorging himself on the Nine-Eleven Manna from Heaven, with the flag bearers of American Inquisition lurking just in the background, let me remind the readers that President Dwight D. Eisenhower had ended his predictive farewell speech with the following words;“To all the peoples of the world, I once more give expression to America's prayerful and continuing aspiration:
We pray that peoples of all faiths, all races, all nations, may have their great human needs satisfied; that those now denied opportunity shall come to enjoy it to the full; that all who yearn for freedom may experience its spiritual blessings; that those who have freedom will understand, also, its heavy responsibilities; that all who are insensitive to the needs of others will learn charity; that the scourges of poverty, disease and ignorance will be made to disappear from the earth, and that, in the goodness of time, all peoples will come to live together in a peace guaranteed by the binding force of mutual respect and love.”
President Eisenhower must be turning in his grave.

9/11: The symbolic strike…?! (1)
9/11: The symbolic strike…?! (1)
Besides its extremely violent & tragic nature it was one of the most outstanding, thought provoking, incidents in our modern history having many similarities with the 2000 years old event at the holy hands of Jesus Christ (PBUH) in the heart of the then Palestine.
Jesus Christ (PBUH) along with his followers in a stormy manner turned, up & down, the tables of gamblers, drunkards and black money makers. This bold move, to strike at the centre of unjust and immoral socio-economic activities, was duly inspired by the Biblical message.
However, this act was also considered as terrorism and threat to the then set-up of capitalism which prompted the furry of Jews who in their turn convinced their colonial masters in Rome to act upon and eliminate the emerging danger of Jesus Christ (PBUH) and his divine message of justice and piety.
Consequently the Romans at the instigation of Jews took their evil decision to crucify the Holy Prophet, Jesus Christ (PBUH) but by the grace of Almighty Allah he was saved, from the conspiracies of Jews and their Roman masters, and taken up to the fourth heaven until the day of his promised return.
Even today, in the 9/11 case, we have more-or-less the same ingredients, the religious-inspired strike on the twin-towers, considered as the symbol & centre of unjust capitalism, again Jews are there, inciting & instigating the US against the emerging danger of Muslims and Islam.
And it is this ill-conceived concept on part of the global Jews that they have replaced the word “communism” with “Islamism” and “communist” with “Islamist” to single out Muslims and their faith Islam as the next emerging danger after communism.
Although Islam believes in moderation and in no way advocates or represents any kind of extremist philosophy whether it is that of communism which deprives people of their basic freedom or capitalism which deceives people, in the name of freedom, by concentrating power & wealth in fewer hands at the cost of 90% of the earth population.
While Islam, in its true form of government, sponsors socio-economic justice of high & fair quality by sharing the national fortunes and forbids the concentration of wealth in fewer hands with the egalitarian view of enhancing and achieving the goals of welfare for all its citizens.
Whereas none can deny the conspiring & selfish role of Jews at present or in the past (blow hot-blow cold) global series of wars, conspiracies and conflicts. Even in the 9/11 conspiracy they are seen, by many, as major suspects.
I am myself witness to the response of two Jewish journalists, sitting in Warsaw while interviewed live & direct by the Swedish TV from Stockholm, when asked which the next immediate danger is now after the fall of communism? Their spontaneous & simultaneous reply was, Islam. This interview took place the day the USSR was busted. (To be continued)

9/11: The symbolic strike…?! (2)
9/11: The symbolic strike…?! (2)
But unfortunately we, as believers, don’t draw any lesson from our common history, Holy Books or faith in One God. If people, 2000 years back, could understand the action of Jesus Christ (PBUH) as a reminder from their God, the world’s religious history would have been quite different than today.
Similarly if the God fearing Americans had taken this strike as the Divine return/reminder for their own crimes and acts of terrorism by bombing & killing, tens & thousands of innocent people, around the world for the last six decades then surely they had followed the path of Jesus Christ (PBUH) not by turning their cheek but changing their course of politics & behaviour in the right direction for greater interests of mankind instead of resorting to the evil agenda of war and occupations just to protect & promote the selfish designs of capitalism in the name of so-called democracy and free world.
Because here, for the sane & sound heads, it was not important that who has done this but why has done this and if they had gone into the depth of this dilemma to find the truth then they could have saved multi-billions of tax-payers money and thousands of precious lives, Americans as well as non-Americans…!
But unfortunately the barbaric modus operandi, in the wake of 9/11, obviously has added rather multiplied the volume of pains & sufferings of all human beings, including Americans, in dire violation of the teachings & expectations of Jesus Christ (PBUH) and his Saviour, Almighty Allah.
Today the world is mourning the innocent victims of 9/11 but do we, so-called civilized nations, ever mention or mourn over those innocents men, women and children who fall or fell victims to the American bombs in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine and now very recently in Lebanon…?
However, still we have time, as the Divine blessing, to embark upon the track of peace & dialogue to promote & promulgate the great message & noble mission of our common Holy Prophets to save the humanity from further splits, sorrows, sufferings and the repeats of 9/11s.

The failure of political Islam: and what?
The same applies to tightly knit radical movements, even clandestine ones, like Al-Qaeda or the Pakistani religious movements. We know the biographies of the 9/11 attackers, and Bin Laden has made enough public pronouncements for us to know about his world view. By the same token, Islamic radicalism in Pakistan can be studied by examinig the life paths of the hundreds of militants who have been prosecuted and gaoled - the only caveat here being that we must take great care in using the term 'terrorist' or 'radical' as is it used by the media and/or the authorities. But since 9/11 the debate on Islam has become more confused than ever and, if anything, sometimes more nasty. I do not intend to take a stance over every polemic (like Anwaar Hussein), but one element of the debate seems widely known and accepted as it is irrelevant, while striking a chord among a public that is rather too fond of ready-made analyses. I am referring to the culturalist approach, wich states: Islam is the issue.

what are you becoming?
Take stock of the world YOU have divided as Muslim and Christian and Jew. I don’t think that division is helpful to anyone, but let’s explore that division as you must.
Ok, so what has Islam brought to the advancement of mankind in the last 100 years? What have they contributed? Universities? Science? Technology, or health sciences? Democracies, or the rights of human to live a life of peace?
Sorry. History will write that the Muslim faith has brought destruction, death, murder, tyrants, and hatred. They have brought intolerance and ignorance all wrapped up in a thin venire of faith to a god, which is the same god of Abraham that the Christians and Jews worship. It is sad really how the faith has evolved, but change and tolerance for others is just not in its philosophy I guess.

The Religion of Islam is Perfect
Adam, although it is a clever 2-dimensional argument those that practice Islam in its true form can judge that history. The religion of Islam for all intensive purposes is perfect. It is only misconstrued and misinterpreted by man. Don't blame the religion but blame those who exploit its partial meanings to justify these so called acts of terrorism or what you might call "Jihad". Islam is responsible for many foundations for which much of modern technological and medical advancements were perfected today. For time and length of this post, I would suggest that you look into the Science of Islam before you make such statements. There are many publications on this. If it is the future of history that you want to talk about. The books you read in the middle eastern regions will be much different than the ones on the western side of the world. Most will be first hand accounts of the attrocities committed in the name of "freedom and democracy". It may be recorded that the US has brought about this "destruction, death, murder, tyrants and hatred" by its undying support for the terrorist regime known as Israel. Israel is yet another prime example of man exploiting religion for the justification of an immoral and illegal land grab, to commit murder indiscriminately. Judaism is not the same thing as Zionism as Islam is not the same thing as terrorism. Prime example prior to 1948 the Middle East lived in relative peace where tolerance and progression were the norm.
Since it's inception conflict has dominated not because of religion but politics. As for this article and his many others Anwar tells it like it is, all bullshit aside from the reality of things from another perspective. If Americans only saw first hand at what their tax dollars are paying for things would be much different today.
Charlie Worthington, United Kingdom - 15 September, 2006
Sher, why agree?
I would like to propose a question. How many people want to move to Pakistan, Iran, UAE, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, or other Muslim-dominated countries? ZERO. How about Russia, Ukraine, Poland...ZERO. How about Africa or South America?....ZERO!
Now, how many people (Muslims included) are waiting in line to got to the United States....not to visit, but MOVE to the United States? This great evil empire as Anwar proclaims is attracting more people than any place in the history of the world.
See Ryan's article and you will know why. When your country has those creditials let me know.

This article, "Manna from Heaven" was published on 9/11. A time of tragedy and grief for Americans and others all over the world who were slaughtered on that horrendous day. A time we have come to call 9/11. A day when the actions of a few changed the world as we had known it.
The posting of this article on that particular date,is, in my opinion,
Perhaps it would be less hurtful for some of us if the writer had included in his article a statement that much of what he writes is simply his opinion and not necessarily the truth.
"Manna from Heaven" does seem to have some correct historical facts as far as I would know. However, the history seems combined with words that sound very much like a theory. Another conspiracy theory, with America, once again, as the villain.
Even the word 'inquisition' is thrown in for another blow aimed squarely at the US as well as some other shadowy creatures known as the 'cabal.'Yes. Very much like another conspiracy theory. They do abound.
This writer seems to write with his fists, leaving his victims bruised and bloodied, but still standing, because Americans will never stand down and never give in to those who wish us ill - to put it mildly.
I believe, in time, truth will prevail. Doesn't it always?
In the meantime, sadly, many will suffer and we will see more violence, false words, speeches given merely for votes and articles that one can only call

excellent and inciteful?
Go ahead Mr. Sher Mohammed. Tell the writer how wonderful he as as he tears America to shreds. Tell him how 'excellent and inciteful' his article is. You believe every word, don't you?
Yesterday, in Somolia, an angry Muslim, who believes God tells him it's O.K., shot a Catholic nun in the back. He killed her because he didn't like what someone said. In this case, he saw the culprit as the Holy Father (the Pope.
But, it was an innocent nun who had to pay the price for a Muslim's anger. It could be you, Mr. Mohammed who will incur his wrath the next time. That is, if your aren't careful to watch every word you say. I suspect you already do that.
That's called repression Mr. Mohammed. That is not respect for one's religion. It is repression...
Why can't you see that? Maybe you do, but dare not speak out - and who could blame you?
I do apologize. I called the man who shot the innocent nun a Muslim. I don't think he represents Islam at all. He is just another killer. We have all seen too much of him lately.

I noticed that the PakTribune has posted my comments in which I mention the shooting of the Catholic nun in Somalia. My comment was published under the subject 'excellent and inciteful?'
Please forgive my words in your regard. You have every right to enjoy Mr. Hussain's latest article without someone yelling at you.
The only excuse I can offer is my anger when I saw that a Catholic nun had been Shot four times in the back.
However, I shouldn't have included you within my amger. That was very rude...

biased quote froma biased person
President Dwight D. Eisenhower is the person who always talked some thing and use to do some thing else. A champion of miliitary rights, he helped in creating now defunct CENTO and Seato by which treaties arms flowed in your country. This is John Foster Dulles Doctrine. Who says that Eishenhower was against military industrial complexes. Those units gives butter on their bread snatching it from people like you and me. And what would happened to your triger happy men in khaki, if they are not loaded by free american arms? Americans can give you F 16 to fight terrorists in wazirasthan and can sell you anything including their idea of 'fighting terrorism'. Open your eyes Hussain! World is not full of hatred people like you. You too have to answer to future generation of your deeds. Abdul Gamel Nasser knew it earlier. Killing is not the solution.

Ryan , True Americans
But of course Ryan, when one discusses "the Americans" in this or similar context, it does not necessarily mean to target those who are American and rather points towards those who mutilate & manipulate the politics of American Govt. & its various agencies visible and those working undercover.
American nationals are not to blame when the matters are discussed and it is rather unfortunate that there is no easy way around describing the motives of a nation represented by the few who hold power and cannot be described in no other manner other than being identified as America or Americans.
It is high time that the general public of America began to question their govt. for it's misdeeds around the world for securing its "interests" by unfair means.
Yes the people of America have every reason to take pride in their nation but if at the same time they like to see this world living with equal opportunity when it comes to peaceful enjoyment of their very own nation then it can only be achieved when the general American public, The People look a layer deeper on those who shape America's international policies and implement without regard to the people of the world.
Alike you every human in this world has a right to a peaceful existence on the globe and this world would be a better place if the Govt. of USA leaves them alone to thrive within their own lands and environment.
Dont you believe that just like all those people that you have described in your writing from so many different lands would like to lead a peaceful life within their very own habitat? I am sure as sincerely you covered this matter in your writing you will have second thoughts towards the role of USA (The Govt & its agencies)as to what and how it has complicated the lives of so many all over the world.
I admire your spirit under which you have described "Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American."

Ayasha: Heading Heartless
Surely the loss of any life is a sad occurence and those who committed such a heinous crime cannot be considered human in any manner.
It is important however to ponder on what, when, how & why?
I have no reason to believe that Mr. Hussain's writing is meant to condone any terrorist acts instead he as a journalist has compiled his obeservations and included the facts that support the theory not to mention the timeline of various other cruel events that took place in the past.
Why should we single out Mr. Hussain and take an aim at him? Why cant we enjoy the right to freedom of speech as conventional to media in US and elsewhere in the world? After all no one seems to know the truth or the entire account of facts leading to such destruction of life and property that cannot be condoned by anyone with the slightest humanly feelings.
Yes there are plenty of scenarios about 9/11, while there is no sure method of knowing that the account by the 9/11 commission or by the Govt of Bush bears any truth, who can expect the responsible ones to stand up and be bold enough to admit to what and how they planned and executed, it is an act of ultimate cowardice and the cowards are hiding somewhere.
Yes you are right that one day the truth will come out but I think it will be too little too late for anyone to be able to take any action. The dillema of JFK assasination is not resolved, the dillema of MLK remains unresolved among the several others.
On one hand we know as a matter of fact that it takes the various law enforcement authorities within their very own jurisdictions to solve petty matters and isloated incidents involving murders, how can one believe that suddenly the US authorities became so smart that in such a small time they pin pointed the cultprits involved with 9/11 ! all the time it has taken the highest authorities of US to look for Bin Laden et.al and without success, and on the other hand they are able to place blame on certain people with regards to 9/11 ! it sounds too good to be true or is it !
Yes one day the truth will surface I do hope it happens in a time and manner that the people of this world can find out too but similar to other controversial matters I dont see a ray of hope in this regards as well.
